So, this morning I had a conference with the instructor of my senior seminar. It was supposed to cover my current progress on the final project for the class. I was actually worried that I would be ill prepared for the conference. Turns out, all he wanted to do was read the syllabus to me. . .
It frustrates me that I have gotten myself through college, and in the class that is supposed to serve as the culmination of my 4 (5) years of hard work, there is little to no accountability on the part of the students or the faculty for that matter. As I have made my way through the public education system, it has become increasingly obvious that education is not the institution's goal. I feel that many of the instructors are over-worked with the number of students that they must juggle each semester, which leads to a more relaxed attitude on their part and the students suffer because of it. It makes no sense.
Ok, my tirade is finished.
Am I the only one that experiences this frustration?? I love to read you comments!!
